 I took this photo tonight as I was sitting around crying over a very close friend. The tears that I fought were the tears of trying to say goodbye to someone who has been a very big part of my life for a long time. I'm afraid of never seeing him again at this moment, health and other issues involed.

Hi greetings from the CC, I liked that you were willing to show some real and painful emotion in your shot. My criticism is only that we did not get to see the rest of your face to help give us more of a context, I suspect many folks missed your emotion here. Technically speaking as is, it is a good detail of an eye, clear, sharp. You may want to consider PSing out the reflection in pupil and bits of eyebrow.
I am sorry for your loss, and hope you are feeling better than when you took this.
Keep up showing those emotions in your work!

I like the detail and focus of the image but I've seen many eye pics before and this one is not standing out from them in any special way. Too close up to show any conflict or emotion I think.

The one problem I see is the fact that without the title, the picture itself doesn't say "conflict"... to me anyways. Don't get me wrong, it's a good shot. But on it's own, I don't think it quite meets the theme this week.

the struggle to take a picture that fits the challenge...also the eye looks very cloudy

nice pic, but (for me) does not fit the challenge well - it doesn't say 'conflict' without an explanation.
