 The eBay relevance is hopefully apparent. Anyway - i just wanted an excuse to try out flash diffusion techniques outlined in the rather nice tutorial by joebar of taking shots of a watch:

Anyway - i couldnt get this one to stand up properly (ladies watch so strap is thinner and thus a little less rigid than male watches).

I'd love to see if anyone thinks this is a fake... it isnt, this Rolex is real, it is my mum's. She doesnt wear it very often tho, main reason - the face is gold and so are the hands so it is difficult to read the time. Ah well.

The picture is simple, better taken than more than half the shots in this challenge but just alittle boring, doesnt pull me in.

Well... The colors are great, and the lighting is perfect. The focus is splendid too, that shallow DOF makes it look really nice. My only complaint is that the composition somehow makes this photo look a little akward. Perhaps if the watch were sitting differently, or y ou took the photo at a different angle...Excellent try though - other than that this is a splendid shot! :)

Good focus on the face, well composed, strong tones on the strap, uncomlicated background, should do well

Nice clean product shot. Would be improved if the bottom of the band was not visible, and if the date was clear through the magnifier.
