 My girlfriend *loves* this piano. over 200 years old if i remember right, and she plays the most beautiful songs on it. I dont expect the picture to do too well but it was the best I could think of.

1 RAW, converted into 3 files, tonemapped in Photomatix for detail.
Messed around in PS with saturation and brightness/contrast and all that.

Dont know if I interpreted the challenge details well enough, but I like the picture and I think it suits the challenge. If not, ah heck.. Plenty more challenges to enter.

I like this pic. I feel it's underrated. I like the colors, the contrast and the way the eye moves around due to the shallow DOF following the 3D aspect of the textures. A beautiful pic that would look great in a tasteful frame on top of the piano.

Nothing quite like a beautiful girl playing skillfully on a piano in a small room. It'll put shivers in your bones and speckle your skin with the notes of emotions.

IDK, something about this picture is throwing me off, maybe that fact that you see mostly wood, maybe if I could see more of the actual keys....

Oh beautiful! Those tones are just exquisite... and combined with the subtle colors and nice textures, it all adds up for a really nice photo. I love it! :)

It's cropped a little close. I'd like to see just a little more of the keys here, and slightly warmer tones.
