I really like the composition of this photo. The sky is really cool. I agree that it is lacking the wow factor. It may be something that can be tweaked through some photoshop magic. Who knows :) I think if this wasn't such a post processing geared site, it would have scored better. |

Lovely textures and colors, the crop for composition is great. I think it should have scored higher. |

The problem with this shot it is too small to really enjoy all the details. As such it is very easy to over look the details, especially considering the frenzy of FS voting. I might have cropped off the right a bit, but that would be about it.
A shot that suffers from the 640 rez. |

I can understand why you would have really liked this shot, it is nicely composed and applies the rule of thirds well. Also to be honest 5.32 is not that 'bad' in a free study when scoring tends to be very harsh
IMO perhaps the thing that it is lacking is a real wow facor. the sky is great but in terms of the building itself (the key element of the shot) the dusk has made it seem a little flat and whilst it certainly isnt lost in the frame neither does it really scream out look at me.
I think in a themed challenge this would have scored higher (top 5's low 6's) but in a free study when there are so many breathtaking images it was good but not great |

I really like this just the way it is. DPC does prefer more contrast, more saturation, but I like it simple and subdued like this - it's more natural. Another neat feature is that the sun is so tiny compared to the rest of the scene - don't know why that strikes me as interesting, but it does. |

Very beautiful. I think it would have benefited from a bit of levels and a tad of sharpening to make it pop more. I would have given it a 6 as is. |

I gave this a 6. Nice scene, could maybe use a bit more contrast. |

The colors, the sky, the beautiful building and the person all are good. It should add up to a pleasing picture with a good score. I think there is to much distance to the first object in the frame which would be the person. Although you have all these splendid parts, they are to small to enjoy. A longer lens would have created a different spacial relationship altogether and given you(us) a closer look at the details. Using the same lens that you did would have been ok also, but I think it would have been better to get closer to the person. Personally, I'd like to see the sun as a larger object and that would require a longer lens. |

I really don't understand why this didn't score higher. It is absolutely beautiful. I love the colors in the clouds. |

One of these days I know that building will sail away. Good technicals. |

I think it needs more contrast to bring out the colours in the sky. |
