I appreciate why you like the moment but man, the lighting is ordinary, the main action is small and you can only see one face. I know you probably had to do this as a snapshot (fast) but it would have been better if you had your back to the window and could see both faces. With what you got, I would have cropped closer, maybe to the second row of chairs for the bottom and the third chair from the right at the front and just to above the lights over the windows. |

Nice job of connecting the dots to make so many different elements fit together and make a strong composition. I think this is one of those emotional entries that just mean more to the photographer than the voter. |

You know how to take shots, nuff said. This is a terrific moment on that special day. I think the composition is wonderful. I might consider cropping out the flowers, but the point here is the expressions which are great. Well you knew this would do poorly. Watch out on that average, ;) |

Great job of capturing a moment in time, I'd have been inclined to crop a little closer. |

Few people dare to tell a story with their entries - and I think this is a good example. Forget the voters on this one and well done for being brave enough to enter it. |

I'm chiming in with the others - the focus is too wide. A closer crop would have brought home the point of the image. I can see why you like it, but it doesn't translate to a broad audience. |

I gave this a 5. To me there's just too much going on in the photo and no real focus. Lots of chairs which really don't add anything to the photo. |

I like this shot, but I probably would've cropped out the ceiling/rafters and fan. I don't see how this scored a <5, though. There does seem to be a little scarring on the subject's jaw. |

I can see why this bombed score-wise......you have to get into the image and feel the moment. Doesn't happen in the two to three second voting window. Quite a nice capture of an intense time IMO. |

I like the relaxed mood and the story behind the picture, but bear in mind that this kind of shots that are of photojournalism quality do not score high at DPC. |

I like the sentiment expressed here. It was one of those shots I spent a bit more time on during the challenge, simply because it did indeed have a story to tell. You know how to score here so I'm not about to tell you things that would have increased your score. But I do agree that a mid 5 would be far more appropriate than what you ended up with. Kinda sad statement about the voting population if you ask me. |

nice "ordinary life" photo. I like the blue lights in this photo :) Flash made some shadows on chairs, but not that visible at first :) |

I think a tighter crop would make this photograph stronger. The chairs in the foreground aren't as important as what is happening between the two people. |

The picture doesn't really communicate what you've put in the title. |
