Thanks for the comments! I still like the b/w too. For those of you who didn't, I think the b/w gave the flames more texture and definitely an "otherworldliness" that I was trying for. Don't you get tired of the same old thing? :)

I like the choice of B/W here ΓΆ€“ flames contrast with the background more as opposed to similar color images in the challenges.

Why the conversion to B/W? Image would have been stronger with fiery color!

loving the rolling effect of the flame that is captured here, the black and white helps the viewer to focus on the element of fire. Bravo!

The flames are beautiful and the structure of this photo is very dramatic.

Shooting fire in b/w makes it look different.

Wow! That's really creepy...in a cool way! I'm fascinated by the figure on the right that seems to be sneaking away from the log. BTW, how close to the cemetery was this wood cut? ;-)

Imaginative title for a nice shot, I keep looking at the 'ghost'.

might have been better in color rather than black and white

I know some people just love B&W and I do too, but this subject doesn't seem to POP from it. I think the hot yellow flames might have worked better.

Oh my that looks like a serious fire. I am not sure what it is but it really did grab my attention. Nice job.
