Thanks for the comments! I still like the b/w too. For those of you who didn't, I think the b/w gave the flames more texture and definitely an "otherworldliness" that I was trying for. Don't you get tired of the same old thing? :) |

I like the choice of B/W here ΓΆ€“ flames contrast with the background more as opposed to similar color images in the challenges. |

Why the conversion to B/W? Image would have been stronger with fiery color! |

loving the rolling effect of the flame that is captured here, the black and white helps the viewer to focus on the element of fire. Bravo! |

The flames are beautiful and the structure of this photo is very dramatic. |

Shooting fire in b/w makes it look different. |

Wow! That's really creepy...in a cool way! I'm fascinated by the figure on the right that seems to be sneaking away from the log. BTW, how close to the cemetery was this wood cut? ;-) |

Imaginative title for a nice shot, I keep looking at the 'ghost'. |

I know some people just love B&W and I do too, but this subject doesn't seem to POP from it. I think the hot yellow flames might have worked better. |

Oh my that looks like a serious fire. I am not sure what it is but it really did grab my attention. Nice job. |
