Nice job on this. I think if you had a total black background you would have scored even higher. A sheet of black velvet is what I used. It just sucks up the light and shows no reflection.

i love the way the smoke rolls like a kings announcement on parchment paper. great colors with the different shades of yellow, orange, grey, and blue.

Great capture but too bad you had the background too close thus creating glare. The smoke works welland the colors are great. 6 .... but coulda been an 8 had the background not shown up. Good luck!

I like to look at smoke shots and this is a nice example. I'm not sure about the flame itself, it draws attention from the smoke and lowers the general quality of the image. Being this a fire challenge, I have to cut a point or two because of that.
