I love the fact that the one is walking away, It is as if the other two are talking about him. |

Beautiful the black and whiteness of this shot. The bits of brown are nice to see as well. 200 last year was a lot of hungry mouths to feed. |

Lovely birds, why the smell??
like how you kept the detail in the snow. |

Excellent composition, and the bits of grass coming through the snow really add to ground this. Nice shot, especially since you took it through a window! |

Like Jeanie's view on the magical # of 3 makes for a leading composition ..

Aww - look how cute they are! Great shot. We have quail in Phoenix - different colors of course, to blend in with the desert. Every morning at 7 am there's a mass exodus of them in one direction on the mountain where I live. And in the evening, they all wander back. It's fun to watch how the run in circles and hear their little funny sounds. |

They are adorable with those little crests on their heads!! I'd feed 'em, but then I'm a complete pushover :::grins::: Very nice composition; one has given up and is following the path to look elsewhere for food, and one seems to be telling the other they might as well give up and follow the first one. |

Wonderful shot! Poor little guys must get such cold feet in the snow. |

Thanks for the feed back. These are California Quail according to my Birds of the Northwest book. |

Darlene, the composition of this one is really really good. You've got the magical number of three, which is always good for design. AND they make up a thin triangle, another always good element in design.
Good job. |

Beautiful shot! We have quail around here, but they're not that dark. Do you know what kind they are? |
