 Sand hill cranes at sunset over cabbage palm trees.
165mm with polarizer and monopod. Cropped top and right a little.
This was a case of choosing the right lens, the 70-300 D zoom over the 300mm prime. This was shot at 165 mm, and having the zoom allowed me to compose very quickly, as the birds were spotted about 5 seconds before this shot.

Not only a sunset, but a great silhouette shot of the trees and some cranes flying past for good measure. Lovely.

Now THIS is Floridahhh!! I love how the trees are wispy at their leaf edges. Lovely composition! I need to remember my polarizer when I shoot sky shots- it looks so great!
