Peter, I meant to comment on this shot during the challenge but with the new job I am afraid my DPC time has been somewhat restricted. I thought this was a super portrait (and of course I did recognise you straight away). Great expression too.

Your doing a great job with your new lighting rig as well love the way your face is framed to the left and right by blackness, very effective, especially as your hair and sweater provide top/bottom framing as well

As ever sharpness, colour and dof are spot on. Super shot

I think this is beautiful. Great lighting and rich tones. Underrated!

I see those lights are the gift that keep on giving. Very well done, of course. Great pose and expression. Subtle, but guarded as well.

Well, Peter, we were almost right next to each other in the finish, but your entry was much, much stronger than mine. It is very well lit and has the correct color balance (you were right about mine - it was an orange accident that I tried and couldn't quite correct). Very nice work!

Hey Peter.Great composition/postioning on this shot. I like the color and detail that you have presented in the flesh tones. Very good control on the lighting, I like the darkness of the background and the slight hint of detail in the sweater. I bet it would have been 6+ if it wernt for the white undershirt showing at the collar. Picky DPC voters.

I'm not sure I like the shadows the lighting creates, or the way the hair and the sweater blend into the background... but the clarity of details is great!

Beautiful focus and no glare on the glasses. Very nice. Back to bump you up to 8.

Good lighting and composition. Let down slightly by the glimpse of white tea-shirt.
