 This is our smaller party musket. It's a lot easier to move and use than the "Melon Molequlizer," which is a little more than twice this size, with 40 ft (13meters) of barrel and a much larger air capacity. We are shooting at a truck bed, 8 ft square on the tree line, which is a little over 1/4 mile ( about 325 meters) across the pasture. The cannons use air pressure. On the right is our warning whistle, nicknamed "Tooter Melon" with an authentic 3 tone steam whistle. It's so loud that it makes you dizzy if you are closer than about 10 ft from it when it blows.
The machine weighs about 1,500 lbs. You can see where the jack has been skidded over the ground by the recoil.

OMG .. i wouldnt want to be anywhere near that truck bed ..
you guys !! .. i'd love to have a go .. cant imagine how you line it the shot .. probably get quite a few misses .. as i said .. i wouldnt want to be anywhere near the target .. !!:)

Amazing that you have not one, but two! Never been to a melon shooting party, that's for sure. How did you get into this sort of a thing?
