Deer wonder around town in the winter eating the leftover Christmas decorations like the wreaths and swags...these deer appear to be looking for grass. The river is below the building and deer hang down there alot.

They paw for grass in the plowed spots.
Winter is tough on animals up here. These are fairly tame though and lucky to live so close to town!! ;)

Great contrast of the deep tones of browns against the white. Your town looks like a very "Nature-friendly" place.

Gives a whole new definition to yarding up! It must be great to see these all the time.

Isn't it just amazing how one can be staring into an animal's eyes, yet the moment one pulls out one's camera, they turn and present their backsides to the lens? Happens to me all the time.

Awesome shot with the advertisement mural and the deer - great colors. It's very surreal, actually. And it reminds me of Northern Exposure - remember that show?

What an amazing slice of life, we don't have naturally roaming deers here - very interesting to me, love that you've chosen the backdrop so well.

This is a wonderful photo, all the more so for us who do not have either snow or deer.

OMG .. the deer .. you said that the deer come into your yard .. that sounds amazing .. i'd love to be able to photograph deer but i reckon the cold weather would put me off .. great shot .. love how the wall is so colourful and the the trees look desaturated probably coz of the snow etc .. :)

This is making me feel cold. I don't see how animals survive at all where it snows and gets so cold in the winter. They are just so much tougher than we humans are. That's a pretty scene with the mural behind the deer and all the snow and light framing it.
