 We rescued Tom from the shelter when we lived in Mississippi. The lady at the shelter said she believed him to be part Maine Coon. He is not as large as Maine Coons tend to be (he's only 10 pounds), however he is very vocal like a lot of Maine Coons, and will chitter or trill at birds and squirrels in the yard. He'll also play fetch with just about anything (Maine Coons are often referred to as the dog lovers cat). I caught him here giving himself a bath.

well well well .. how interesting ..
i'm the sort'v person who would love to have a cat if it was like a dog !!
i'v never heard of maine coons tho .. maybe we dont have them in australia or i could just be ignorant ..
the fetching sounds fantastic .. and interesting the chittering and trilling .. !! but does he purrrrrr ??!!
sounds like a very interactive pet and extremely photogenic ..
i bet tom thanks his lucky stars you rescued him .. :)

I don't know why, but I always enjoy a picture of an animal with their tongue sticking out. Probably because it's not seen that often?
