 Wasn't exactly what I had in mind but close. I wanted to portray the other side of the circus clown, away from the Big Top and the laughing kids. I figure clowns pull double shifts to pay the bills; mucking stalls, washing Dumbo's backside, etc.

I think most everyone seemed to get my idea and thanks for all the nice comments and votes.

My lighting setup was suspect at best. The streaks of light from the left side is lens flare caused by the off camera flash. I thought they looked cool, almost like sun through an open barn door. The other items were just rummaged from my parent's barn.

Yes I love low angle shots!!! This iswonderful!! I like the composition and surroundings...my only lil complain is that this black and white seems a bit mucky? Almost dull-ish but it's a fine image I won't take score away =p 9

Lovely B&W conversion, very different to the others which are all very vibrant as you would expect for clowns and so this makes for a welcome change. The B&W really adds to the title and "retired clown" theme with the fork etc.. Nice not to see the face as well actually, just the trousers and shoes are enough and is quite subtle. My only problem is the border, why so wide

At first I couldn't understand why he had a pick but maybe this is a rodeo clown. Interesting choice of black and white to enhance the lighting.

Aww, that's sad. Love the lighting and the old lunchbox, and the wine and tennis balls (for juggling, I assume) are a nice touch to complete the story. I need to remember this concept when there's an "emotive without faces" challenge! Very nice work; like this one a lot.

It's hard to figure out this one. The title, the pitchfork, the balls, the bottle, the ... what is it, a canteen? Canned ham? Then there is the blur on the left. It's intriguing.
