kids went for a walk on the ice left in our field after the thaw early last week, then wandered a bit too far and landed falling through into the culvert runoff
They had just gotten off the bus from school, i had my camera & didn't stop laffing until Isa started balling her eyes out
Bored in VT tricks, or I am a bit of a mommydearest...
seems like my adventure taking Thaw & Flow, must run in the family??
Took 4 days for their boot liners to dry out! LOL!!

EDIT: contrast, sharpen, resize

I remember doing this in MN while trying to ice skate on any body of partially frozen water as a child. Later I realized it was a good idea to test prior to walking or skating on it. They look like they're a bit uncomfortable in the icy water, mommy dearest. lol!

Did you say, "If you watched where you walked this wouldn't have happened"?

LOL that's the Anni I've come to know and love. Vindictive, that's what you are.
Great shot. Keep that one for their scrapbooks. And make sure to write your story to go with it. We'll see if they figure you out.

I remember this happening to me when I was a little guy! I was alone and had to crawl out and run home with wet pants in freezing temps. I seem to rememember crying, too. :-)
I agree with Waddy, someday they will be glad to have this photo.

I remember as a youngster wandering off over the fields and falling through the ice in puddles on the paths. It didn't do me any harm, honest!

It must have been difficult to shoot this while laughing. I am glad that you had your camera, and remembered to use it at this time. They will like having this shot to talk about the little adventure in years to come.
What's a boot liner? ; P
