This is Tivoli Island on the Rock River, around the bend behind the island is an active power dam which usually has this water moving at a rapid pace. A fresh layer of snow from lastnight.
The bridge I was standing on was struck by a car about 12 hours before, at that the time this photo was taken this morning the bridge was still closed to vehicle traffic pending an inspection of the structure, The authority must have thought I was press because they let me walk out and snap some photos. Since then the bridge has been cleared for use and reopened.
10 exposures, combined with CS2, cropped, cloned out a power line, adjustment layers for curves, hues/sats and contrast, shadow/highlights, resied, sharpened added frame and saved for web. |

| I think it either needs to be composed/cropped further to the right to include the bridge or further to the left eliminating most of the bridge. It feels a bit centered, and thus static, to me. |

| Perhaps a bit LESS sky and you'll emphasize your water more. Your horizon is right in the middle as is. |
