 Taken at the Chain of Rocks on the Mississippi River. The river is a little elevated right now so the rocks are not as visable but you can see the current. I have another shot that I debated to use but my wife told me to go with this one. Since I'm on a bit of a cold street, I defer to her.

It may have been effective (depending on what was there) to compose this shot facing slightly more to your left. Then, the contrast been the smooth water and the rough water would have been more noticeable. Also, you have a nice sky, so it may feel more balanced to show more of it and less of the river, OR more of the river and less of the sky. That would get your horizon off the middle part of the shot.

i really like this pic. Perhaps a slight tweak in straightening the horizon but apart from that it's fantastic.
