This is taken near Heiðmörk, I do not know the name of the river or describe exactly where the place is. Thanks for your comment Þórdís.

I very much like the understated bleakness of this one. It speaks to a completely realistic, unromantic view of "winter"; nothing Currier-and-Ives about it :-) Congrats on 5th.

That sky is stunning. Lovely, lovely tones here and great composition; I also like that the rivulets going over the little bridge are differentiated instead of being one big, white flow.

The reflections are nice, but the long exposure makes me think lazy river instead of one that is overflowing.

I love this shot. Feels like another I've seen recently but this really stands out for the lighting (and any tone mapping you've done is beautifully subtle). Everything is pin sharp and there's lovely balance between the silhouetted trees with the sunset backlit mound. The water quality is perfect with interesting shapes formed by the falling water and misty loveliness underneath (which again is a lovely balance with the glass-like upper part). Ribbon or a top 10...else I'll personally start a witchhunt ;)

this is amazing! really spot on use of shutter speed, great composition with the warm sky in the background an the cold river and snow in the foreground... also a great location to shoot, with this overflown bridge an the hill as backdrop! really nice!

That is beautiful. Perfect focus where it needs to be, and perfect milkiness where it should be. Great composition. You got a top 10 here.
