this photograph was taken last night ..
we had the most massive storm .. it went on for hours and hours .. thunder and lightening and buckets of rain ..
this is during a lull in the storm when katee went out and had a sniff around ..
we lost our power for several hours and had dinner by candlelight ..
fortunately we have a bbq to cook on .. when we lose power we have NOTHING .. no lights, no heat and no water .. our water supply comes from the rain, into the tank and pumped out'v the tank by a pump powered by electricity ..

this is another one for day 13 just after the storm .

Nice walkway. Katee seems to be a bit unhappy with the water but enjoying the smells.

The lighting in this is beautifully done. It really makes the little dog stand out. I love the way that dogs always seem to be curious, even about all the things that they see every day.

Nice shot, and your processing makes it quite artful if that's a word. Too bad about your power, but I guess that it could have been much worse. The last time our power was out for any time here was after hurricane Wilma, which kept us down for about 5 days. I have a thing about fixing up discarded generators as a sort of hobby though, and so it was not a big deal for my home.

Love the processing on this one. Katee looks like she's not disturbed at all by the storm.

Everything here is electric-powered, too, except the water. Losing power for a little while is an adventure; longer than that and everyone starts to get cranky!

Love the lines and processing in this. Such a simple thing, a dog sniffing around, but the angle and processing make it special.
