I can see you getting hit for how dark this is, but I really like the moodiness of it. That poor old horse out there all alone, and the entire mood of the image conveys the title so well.

I love the composition and perspective here, and dark tones add to it, but it is just a wee bit too murky to feel you're getting the best of the image :)

I really, really love this. The darkness of the photo, combined with the sepia tones create an intense and subtle atmosphere. Bravo. ;)

This has a great painterly feeling to it. I love the clouds. Monochrome really works well here! Moody and dark while still retaining good detail throughout.
I'd definitely be happy to have this up on my wall. (This one actually gave me shivers when I saw it!)

OMG, i love this photo. the ONLY thing i would like to see is a little more definition of the horse from the cloud. i see some around his head, but it would pop more (to me) if the rest of his body was highlighted as well. a small thing, though, as it's just lovely. what an emotional shot.
