| This is just superb ΓΆ€“ really like the lighting and composition. The reflection is subtle ΓΆ€“ I like that a lot. The darkness of the background has the effect of focusing all the power in the shot directly onto the subject making it really punch out ΓΆ€“ this effect is also enhanced by the use of the diagonal line ΓΆ€“ adding even more drama. Finally, to finish off, just a twist of backlight, and the cocktail is complete. The final mix produces one hellishly stunning shot... First class photography (10+++) |

| tough to expose for, maybe a black piece would've let you light meter for the piece, the board, and the reflection, but i dunno. chess rules though. |

| The reflection is a little too dark for my taste. It's more a hint than a subject (this being a reflection challenge and all). Good photo never the less. 7. |
