 This old building is in Taos, New Mexico in the same area as St. Francis Church which was photographed by Ansel Adams.

It probably won't do too well in the challenge even though it fits the description so well: "Abandoned buildings often have unique textures, colors and character."; however, I have always thought it was photogenic & wanted to use it in a challenge. I wish the "Will Built to Suit" sign was easier to see so that I could have had a full front shot. The sign has been on the building ever since we've been going to Taos which is almost 30 years.

The cat didn't seem to mind me taking pictures.

Editing: Crop; Levels; Curves; Levels again separately on R,G & B channels;Reduce Saturation; Noise Removal; Resize; Smart Sharpen.

I was having problems resizing this and got some nice tips from a thread I posted. I sized it down in increments and it didn't seem to lose as much detail.

This one's not abandoned! That cat looks right at home! That sign is perfect, though I wish the texture of the bricks came out a bit more, I think it would have added some to the abandoned feel. Great shot!
