 I found this awesome sculptured staghorn fern by the pool and fell in love with its shape, form, textures and color. The detail is amazing and this is one of the best staghorns I have ever seen..... The golden brown on the under leaf is the spore of the plant and it just looks like velvet. I hope you like it and so pleased I found it living and growing where i live.



A metre (3ft) wide and a metre and half (4 to 5ft) long at least.....

It is growing on the trunk of a palm tree which has its fronds all cut off. The staghorn is nearly as big as the palm, and wraps around two thirds of the palm trunk.

Oh! Thanks for posting pics of this plant with your macro shot. I really couldn't picture what it would look like! So many interesting parts of this plant... hope we see more of this!

Like the composition a little better on this one, I think. Textures are more defined.
