They stand out so well against that mist - the subtle coloring and tone, it just has a marvelous impact. Great capture!

I think this is a wonderful shot, and the jetty in the background just throws in a bit of context.

Beautiful, Catherine. Beautiful birds, beautiful color, beautiful composition, and beautiful moody scene with the fog. Because of the halo along the birds breasts and below their bills, the shot looks a bit over-sharpened. I wonder if it would still be as nice an image with that halo softened a little.

This image has a surreal feel to it I love the movement but it almost looks oversharpened and gives a painted look to it but it works for me
But it is my pick to get a ribbon and a 10 from me lovely work

Great capture. Looks very sharp for a shot with a big DOF and fast action. The muted background really makes these guys stand out. You should go very well with this one.

I believe I looked at this image a dozen times before deciding how to vote. Not sure on the crop, however I would have liked to see the birds further to the left, giving them space to complete their landing. Then I thought....this happens so fast. Great Capture. 9
