cute little fellow, nice focus on the eyes. composition is not pleasing as he is too left of center which makes it feel as though he is leaving the frame of the photo. he needs to be entering the framework. colors, contrast and saturation all very nice. |

Cute mallard, I like how it is sitting in ripples. Very good colour and detail as well. |

At first I was going to say this is a rather ordinary photo, but I do rather like how you've captured the ripples emanating out. A polarizer might have helped lessen the haze int he water at the top. I'd have also preferred to see the stray feather on the right side of the image cloned out. I say cloned rather than cropped, because cropping would have lost the symmetery of the ripples. The feather does seem to break the symmetry and the otherwise clean circles. |

A very good sharp photo, IMHO the crop would have been better if the body had been placed in the 1/3 rather than the eye. |

But it's a nicely detailed and nicely framed (by the water) picture of an ordnary duck! |

He is a Mallard duck, and you have made him look more than ordinary, he look fabulous, love the softness you have managed around his head. 9 |

I like the ripples in the water and the way they affect the reflection of the mallard. |
