 My son.

Used the histogram to brighten, then color (channel or mixer, I get them mixed up) to convert to bw. Ran through neatimage to get rid of the noise/grain created from the histogram.

It's a kid pic, and not exactly a wonderfully compelling one, I know, but I like it! I really wanted to do one where it looked like he was waiting for a parade, but it just didn't look right. At this point, he was showing us a bird flying over head.

Very nice picture. You really would like to see what this cute boy is pointing at. Might be just as effective in color.

this is a great shot...the b/w works well...nice DOF, focus is a bit soft but it works ok on this

Very appealing photograph. A bit more crop off the bottom will improve. Black and white a good choice.

Well done. Good use of B&W. Lighting, composition and contrast are all good. Meets the challenge very well. It helps to have an appealing subject.
