Challenge: Birds II (Advanced Editing VII)
Camera: Canon EOS-400D Rebel XTi
Lens: Canon EF 75-300mm f/4.0-5.6 III
Location: Sarrette Nature Center, Bainbridge, MI
Date: Jan 25, 2008
Galleries: Nature, Animals
Date Uploaded: Jan 27, 2008

I went to a local nature center, where they pay special attention to feeding the birds. There were hundreds of birds, I was outside for a while shooting, then I went in to sit in the bay windows to snap some more, the birds were within 4 ft at times. It was a nice experience. One of my favorite shoots of late.

Very nice shot. Seems to be a little soft but it works with your photograph. Great shot.

Nice composition, the soft focus works. Like the snow, 'if only' more visible, but what can you do.

Focus is a touch soft, but I like the angle and the background. Very natural scene captured.

Very pretty colors and composition, and I really like the "sticks", but the bird doesn't seem to be sharply in focus.

either its a bit out of focus or the bird is shivering. Actually, judging by the snow, the bird is shivering. Nice shot

(P.S. I'm jealous you have snow!!)

soft focus or camera movement ruined what would have been an awesome shot. A tripod would fix that. exposure, colors, contrast, saturation all look good.

I can swear I saw this same bird once already. I think a tighter portrait crop would help the image flow a little better.

In a lot of cases, one wants to see very fine detail of the specimens. In this shot, though, I'm quite liking the softness to it as it suits the setting quite nicely!

Lovely girl. Great sharpness in the eye and I like the faint snowflakes.

Cut off by the foreground stick, nice photo otherwise.
