Composition works just fine for me and these are indeed lovely creatures. We had a few at the zoo in San Antonio and they're hard to shoot well - you did a very nice job getting detail and delineation in the feathers here. |

Jon - very well captured image. The bow of this proud bird to you is a true sign of respect - I am sure there are those that would have liked a bit more face - but I find the lines really quite well captured. |

Actually, I find the perspective different and refreshing. Not that there's anything wrong being eye-to-eye with a swan, but this is a twist on the usual swan photos. Love your composition, too. |

Love the detail in the feathers in this Jon. You did a great job bringing out the colors of the bill. I don't believe I have ever seen a Black Swan before. |

This is a very pretty capture. I love the glowing orange bill. I like how the light also catches the detail on the feathers. Nice composition too, with putting the bird in the corner and having it seem to be looking into the empty space. |

I love how soft the water and feathers look. Quite a serene scene. |

Clean with great lines. The angle is what doesn't go well with the photo. Need to get down on their angle- otherwise you're on another level than the subject. |

Neat looking. Only critique I have offhand is the fact that his head is hidden in shadows. Wild animals don't exactly pose for you. |

Fairly good exposure, the light is quite harsh and hard to handle both highlights and shadows. The composition is nice. But the focus is not on the eyes and that is very important in animal photo's. |

Black swans, how gorgeous. Would have loved to have seen the shot a little lower though. But well done on a great capture |
