After the challenge:

Well my daughter thought it was the best! I had 200 images of birds in flight against white snow. She told me they were too boring and this one was so cute! So much for her advice. I knew this was a bad image.

Well, this is certainly underrated - and I'm not just saying that. I love the background, the colors and the composition. The position of the bird is good, too. Stupid voters.

He looks rather disgruntled - either about the cold or about having his picture taken, can't tell which! Nice use of the diagonal to support the composition.

Yes, it must be cold the way the bird is all puffed up. Not sure what type of bird this is, maybe a sparrow? I like the composition.

gotta love it when they fluff up against the cold, maybe that is why it seems a tad out of focus. could just be my eyes though
