18mm, using a borrowed a 10-20mm lens.
I hope these birds fly high!

During the last few minutes I decided to crop out the partial silhouette of the man in black coat, that tossed tyhe bread.

That out take included some rocks tall grass and lake in it, too. I tried to quickly edit/optimize the .NEF file to include more sky to the right.

A warning to others, Don't edit the .JPG.

I ended up cropping the .JPG, then enlarging it to 720 px. That made it lose a lot in clarity/sharpness and color.

Hey neighbor! Nice company to have. Quite enjoyed this shot!

So this was you! And you seriously caught that piece of bread floating in the air? What great timing. I love seeing all the birds in their own little world, flying in rhapsody. I love the beedy little eyes too.

Trying to imagine how many times you had to throw the bread to capture it in the clear like that - can't have been easy, those suckers are fast! The high key effect is bordering on too-sharp-hurts-my-eyes, but only just. Nice idea overall, to get a bit of chaos in your composition.

Creat capture of the bread slice.

Did you throw that there for a photo op? It worked!

Nice - like the setup. Must have taken you a few shots to get the bread visible like this. Coloring of the birds, the contrast, is a little odd - but does grow on you and matches the 'oddness' with the bread. Minor, but a simpler title would refine this a fraction, in my opinion.

Heh! Very nice capture! Quite interesting to get the bread midair before the gulls did.

Kind of a high key bird shot action shot. great idea, good composition. I would prefer to see them a little sharper by using a faster shutter speed and of course the slice of bread really ruins the shot ( I know it's part of the title but still ).

Great shot. At first I didn't see the bread and was captivated (and impressed) by the sharpness of all the birds faces...then I saw the bread and it really made the photo. Innovative and well executed.

Very clever to think of this, as they are such greedy guts! It could well be my monitor that is making it seem rather blown out.
