I figured that this challenge will be full of beautiful pictures of exotic birds. I live in Ontario, so I figured I was at a bit of a disadvantage. ;)

This scene will be pretty familiar to any Simpsons fan. Woohoo!

POST: This image has me once again asking myself: When I submit a photo to the DPC, what am I hoping for?
Certainly first and foremost, I hope to learn something new. The comments that I receive are absolutely the most important thing to me. I'm here to learn.

Second of all, I've realized that submitting an 'Out of the Box' image typically does not score with the majority of voters. However, with this image I've received some great comments and great scores from photographers that I greatly respect.

What I've realized is that those comments and scores from a small subset of users on this site is much more important to me than the highest possible score. There are few stock themes that always seem to score well if done properly, but how much am I really learning if I'm just catering to the average user on the site to get a big score?

Not saying that I'd turn down a ribbon, but...!

Ha, my aunt had one of these when I was a kid and I was fascinated by it. Not sure I get what is on the screen but it probably has some meaning.

Hey I remember my grandfather had one of those back in the 60's. Very cool. But since it isn't alive and you were inside you could have made camera adjustments and increased the DOF. colors and saturation are nice.

Very clean crisp lettering. very ut of the box, maybe if his rear end would be a little more in focus?
