Photo of a tissue.
My earliest memory is from when I was two or three and, naturally, somewhat.. fuzzy.

One of the most interesting entries in this challenge.
An excellent primitive orb but w/surprising, fine, machined overall pattern - a visual abstraction, diminished only by the context that it is your memory, and not mine.
Beautiful work.

Actually, I scored this very high. It met the challenge more so than most of the other enterys. WHy, becuase this truly could be a first memory. You followed the rules to a T. I really do not see why you got all the 1's. I personally think you aced this challenge.

I think people have forgotten how small children so easily fixate on the simplest of things. What's so exciting about the interior of a parasol? Well, of course! I appreciate your attempt to get across the feeling of an early memory.

Looks like you got some people thinking about this. I guess that's what a photo should do!

His earliest memory was the round shape of the sun at the top of his stroller. His mother would be chatting away to some other mother, and he thought it was the sun talking to him.

It occurs to me that you might get a DNMC score or two since that was my first reaction before thinking about it for a while. Now this strikes me as quite insightful since most of us probably have an early memory or two of examining light through some type of cloth.

The texture is deep and rich (like I remember). There's a slight right tilt to the grain of the fabric that I wish were either stronger or leveled out. Good luck and thanks for making me think with this one.

Don't really understand this. This is pretty much just a texture with no focal point composed off center thanks to the lighting

Nice exercise, but I don't see how this could be developed further (in the photographic sense, as an image with a message).
Early memories can very well be abstract, but, are they memories then? Abstract memories? You've got me thinking now...
You've confused me, I'll come back when my head is clearer.

Yeah, I get it but no real impact. Could use this idea and get a nice colourful parasol with some view of interesting things like people or a slide or some such at the edge.

The idea is good but the picture would benefit from some element of additional interest.

I'm not quite sure what you're trying to do here.

Sorry... I don't really understand this shot. If this is the underside of a parasol, you probably should have shown at least part of the outside edge... and maybe the support in the middle. Sorry... can't score you too high on this. Just don't like it! (4)

I don't understand! What is Earliest Memory "of a parasol"? You've got some cool DOF going on here but there's no particular point of interest (or content for that matter). If there's some clever twist I've missed here i'll put my hands up and admit that, but to me this is just a grey square.
