This is a spider. He's only about 2cm long but this macro lens is great! I tossed up between this and a butterfly that had just come out of it's chrysalis. Too many choices this week!

My earliest memory is really being hit over the head while at Kindie because some other kid wanted the piece of cake I had. I didn't think my wife would like it if I tried to replicate that with our boy ;)

That macro lens is indeed one of the best... for close up work and for people too.

Yes. I can understand that. We used to have dinner-plate-sized hairy black tarantulas crawling over my bedroom ceiling in our outback home in Western Australia when I was tiny. I remember them well.

YIIIIIIIIIIIKES!!!! I HATE SPIDERS!! That scared the living crap out of me! Now I'm fully scrolled up so that I can type this and vote without having that horrible scary big black hairy spider macro staring at me! I think from the 2 or 3s of 'what the heck is that..oh sh!t it's a spider' it was a nicely focussed shot and definitely a great childhood memory to capture...but I dare not go back and check. Double yikes with cheese. To go.
