I never knew what this thing was called until today; it's a Fisher-Price Rock-a-Stack. See web site. I think every American kid had one...

10 Feb. - After it was brought to my attention that adding canvas was a violation, I requested and was granted a disqualification for this image.
I appreciate your votes and I apologize for the infraction and for wasting your time.

I've looked at your picture on 3 different monitors and it ISN'T clearly visable to me that you have extended the canvas size on any of them. I'm very careful to keep my Monitor calibrated and in synch with the printers I use. Being curious I used a copy of the picture and tweaked it a LOT! (gamma mostly) before I could even begin to see the original canvas size. I've been aware of the fact that many people do not use the same settings on their equipment and thus there are voters that do not see our pictures from the same perspective (for the lack of the proper terminology.)

Kudos to you for doing the right thing when you learned of the infraction.

There is no doubt in my mind that eyewave has the ability to produce excellent results in DPC! Perhaps working together on the "Olympics" league will be an excellent opportunity for you to learn even more from one another!

Personally I wouldn't think you needed to apologize - it's so great when people can own up to their mistakes.

It's so clean and I love the simplicity of the uncluttered frame.

Love the negative space to give the dreamy feel. Nice sharp colors really add impact.

I think the lighting is effective here, but I don't think it meets the challenge topic strongly though...

I was gonna say that this might look better in portrait view... but while contemplating it... I think this is perfect. Nice idea... and I like the simpleness of the shot. Defines the whole process. Good work! (8)

My favourite so far - this is brilliant in it's simplicity, but more specifically the colours and that Fisher Price toy in particular are really evocative of early play and the associated memories. I love the crop and the negative space, the lustre on the rings themselves...there's nothing I can say that I think would help make it a better photo. 10 from me.
