Nicely exececuted but I don't believe that an animal shot really fits my defiintion of portraiture for the challenge.

I like animal portraits, but this one is a bit too weird. Those eyes?!?!

What a sweet little cat. I'm not sure i fyou used a flash on this one, and I know cat eyes are among the hardest images to capture. I think you did a really good job. I've experimented with my own little guy adn I find his eyes look better when there is less light being projected into them (either from a natural source, room lighting or from a flash). However, you did really well here and I love the expression on your little guy's face. Good luck!

I love cats .. but I've worked very hard NOT to get that shine in the eyes.

Would have been much better without flash, spoils the eyes.

Nice capture. A little too soft around the edges. DOF is on. BOL

You have a beautiful cat. Bravo to you for taking something other than a human!! I wish the ear was in the frame and the shadows weren't so harsh but otherwise nice capture.

I just want you to know that the only reason I'm giving you a lower score than some others I've voted on (and not much lower) is because of the glow in the cat's eyes. A different lighting scheme and I would have scored this on par with the people portraits I've seen so far!
