Where'd you get those peepers?

I guess a lot of voters won't get the song reference.

A baby chotengan, celestial goldfish.

Completely terrific and WAY under-rated. I love the violently mournful expression on the fish, and the tones are superb. Perhaps it would have scored better if the picture was sharper, more clear. Something about the murkiness appeals to me though. I guess I don't really like the grain but the blurry dark green weaving througough the photo creates a perfect and fascinating setting.

Now I'm humming, and it's making me feel old that I know that song!! Very cute peepers, indeed. Nice position in the composition and the eyes certainly grab my attention. Would prefer a little less OOF greenery in front of the fish but that's asking a lot since I doubt you could get the fish to pose and stay ... though there is someone out there selling a training kit for goldfish (I am NOT making this up!).

Holy crap, that is creepy! That's quite the shot of a goldfish. I never knew they could look so sinister :P.

I actually love this shot, the fact that you where able to shoot through glass, speaks volumns. That is seriously one sad looking fish. The way that you pretty much only have the eyes in focus is a good thing. But seriously, you need to clean the tank! 10

There's a lot to love about this photo - a lot of expression on the fish's face, great composition and colors. The grain unfortunately detracts from what otherwise is an awesome shot. 7.

Oh that's just lovely! The expression, the downturned mouth, the title......such a pleasant change from all the cats and dogs.
