 This is Selma, my best friend's cousin. We had a fun time with this one - we couldn't find a makeup artist who liked the idea of painting her yellow, so I bought childrens' face paint from a craft store and painted her with that, then used brown eyeshadow for the stem lines on her face and also for both the eyes and lipstick. The paint ended up looking like a watered down shade of oompa-loompa orange, so I had to correct the color somewhat in photoshop.

This was my first (real) entry with my new D3 (other than my Brown Ribbon De Ja Vu entry, which was taken 9 minutes before rollover and submitted just for a laugh). Hope it does well - I went all out in an attempt to compete with the talented DrAchoo this week in the Save Enzo tournament. = )

Post Processing: Crop, rotate, levels, curves, selective color, enhanced the eyes and lips with dodge and burn, and cloned over some of the skin with a low opacity brush to get rid of the hot spots and the more visible pores.

A Ribbon on this image was a fair prize for the excellent shot you did. Great production and excellent composition. Congrats on the TOP 10.

This would have gotten a higher mark from me if the flowers were placed better.
Most of the stems are very distracting, especially the one covering her face.
But very cool none the less, and I love the choice of colour

this is a very beautiful picture. i love how the yellow in the face matches the yellow backdrop, and the green eyes match the stems of the flowers. 10 from me.
