 I had a picture in my mind almost instantly when I saw this challenge. I wanted to mentally convince the viewer that the photo was black and white by using a prop not usually the colour black...a black flower was the answer. Taken indoors under natural lighting against a white furry material. I painted the model with white face paint and used black eyeliner for the decoration. I painted the flower which was originally pink to black.
I rotated, cropped and resized. I used dodge /burn, diffuse glow, selective lighting/exposure, clone, noise reduction, gaussian blur, colour selection, hue brightness and usm

Love the shot and concept. Makeup looks a little uneven on the forehead which distracts a bit. Still very nice.

I'm rating this at least seven (I may upgrade), because I think it meets the challenge well and is a technically good shot.... although personally I don't really "like" the photo
