Gray sky, gray water, gray and white gulls ... just that little bit of yellow, which may or may not get DNMC hits. For some reason the gull on the post kept getting challenged by one gull after another. He finally got knocked off his perch, or maybe got tired and gave up. I just kept focussing on the incoming gulls and hoping for a good capture of the action. Happy with this one.
I have prettier shots (and some of a pair of American Coots swimming and diving) but this is the most entertaining to me, and tells a bit of a story.
Oh, and I spotted a Bald Eagle as I got out of the car, camera in backpack ::sigh:: He was flying away, naturally. The gulls were better subjects for this challenge anyway.
PP - converted from RAW (sharpened only), rotated, cropped, levels, increased contrast, dodged/burnt eye, dodged/burnt mouths, added border, resized, sharpened with noise reduction, dodged/burnt birds some more, slight desat on orange/yellow and shift toward green. |

| great capture. Definitely tells a little story left up to the viewer: "Hy, come quick, there's a big batch of ramen noodles over here and no one's there yet" ... or" I told you before!, this is MY post -- see, my poop is right there behind you!" |

| The birds need to "pop" out off the background, the shot is so grey that they are not standing out enough. However that is a great capture of the motion, |
