 The lighting again was very tricky. the chess board is made out of paper placed on a coffee table under glass so I could get the reflection. The moon is also paper taped against a black sheet. The stars are small drops of glitter glue. A little adjustment to the contrast and all the glare lines went away.

I had a very hard time getting the light to illuminate the black queen. This is the best I could do.

Wow! I think that this image was horribly underrated! Terrific concept and execution! The cropping/composition to get the complete reflections is just superb!

Rather than adding to it i think the moon in the background and the resulting reflection actually take away from the image - often simplicity in this type of photo is better than trying for "more". dropped a point there from my (already above average) score :(

nice composition, I enjoy the reflection in the board. Interesting choice to use space as a backdrop, it sets your shot apart from other chess board shots I have seen.
