Had more time with this one. One strobe camera left 45 degrees in front of subject - if you look closely you can see the umbrella in the reflection. Thanks to ShutterPug for inspiring/challenging me with her comment!

Edits include:

Noise Ninja
Multiple curves adjustment layers (for the face and highlighted areas)
USM adjustment layers (lighten and darken)
Smart sharpen (1.5 at 67%)
Some dodging on the hour markers
Cloning and healing brush for dust and imperfections on the blue face.

Ah Ha! Now you're talking! This is uber sharp and that blue is so deep! Love it!

Good retake of day 1. You shot this with some forethought, and it shows. You did some nice touch up work on it too.

Wow. Big improvement on this shot. You really nailed the focal plane this time. Perhaps for your next trick you could show us how water resistant it really is ;)

Much clearer than the first attempt but I still like the X pattern from the first. It pays to take another look after the comments.

Phenomenal retake Lonz! Barring the 'typical wear and tear' on this watch, I would swear it was an ad for a new watch. Thanx for taking the time to create a visual Brown vs Blue example for the thread!

Much nicer. I like the cleaner look of this. You can definitely tell you spent more time shooting this. The reflection is a nice touch too.

I love the kind of "cold" feel of the picture.

Great reflections and I love the blue of the watch face :o) From this shot I reckon you are about 6 hours behind us here ;o) Oh and...I think I spot a dust bunny still, sorry :o(
