Well, I have to admit, like all good ideas, this one is not totally original. This is similar to an idea I saw recently on Flickr, so this shot is a tribute to BaldMonk and WiredFool, whoever they may be. This is a little different to both their images, and I like it.
Unfortunately, no amount of cleaning the spoons would get all the marks off, and in basic editing, there's nothing I can do about that. There's actually heaps of black play-dough under the front two spoons to create more shadows and hide the structure of the spoons a little. Getting none of that to show in the final photo was tricky. Getting the front spoon sharp was also tricky, as the top edge is actually a reflection of the spoon behind it, so the light is graded, and focusing on that was a challenge.
Anyway, I hope it worked out. I can never tell until voting starts. I like it, so that's always a bad sign. :)
I will also be interested to know how other people see this. I see the handles of the spoons as being in the small of the back, but others might see them as the legs.

| I would have preferred there to be focus in the middle of the foreground rather than split to both edges, but that may be just me. |

| I'm not usually one for a square crop and I don't know where I'm supposed to focus, but this really works for me. I like it. |

| I like the blue background and the curves of the front spoons. The lighting is good. I am a bit undecided about the spoons in the backside. I have a feeling that the picture would look better had they been in focus too |
