you must get on well with your teacher ... :) the whole image blurred would have worked a lot better for me

I'm having trouble getting the connection between being nude with high heels and doing math. If the lines of her body formed a triangle, then I could see it, but they don't. Also, the triangle on the board appears to be an isosceles triangle, which indeed can be solved via Pythagorian's theorem, but not the one you have on the board - that's for a right triangle. The theorem for an isosceles triangle is: h=sqrt(b^2-1/4a^2). It has the unfortunate effect for me of the woman appearing as a sex object (nude), but not intelligent enough to understand her basic math. I realize this may not be intentional, but I would like to know what the thought process was behind this photo.

Nice triangles.

But its not a right angled triangle!

Too much glare in bg, and the nude, imho, is simply gratuitous.

Hmm.. Great shot... BTW, Pythoagora's theorem only applies to a right angle triangle.... now I know I should not be looking a the board...

This has some strange artsy elements. It is quite bizarre really - I love that it's a math dilemma here- just a nice nude mess ;P

Given that the challenge was "blurry mess," with descriptors of "chaotic," "disorganized," and yet "engaging" and "interesting," I'm puzzled at what this image is trying to accomplish. The background at the right of the image is more "cluttered" than chaotic, while the subject is just blurry enough to be annoying and not blurry enough to truly meet the challenge.

I don't think this image would be particularly strong or compelling if everything were in sharp focus; the limited amount of blurring fails to improve matters any.

How could this be made better? I'm not sure this image can be modified to fit this challenge in particular, but it wouldn't hurt to simplify the composition to just the model and the blackboard. A tighter crop could help, as would adjusting the lighting to be a little softer and more appealing. If your model were to be working with a set of French curves (used in technical drawing), you might have some possibilities for the model to echo shape and line of what was on the blackboard.

Seems to force a nude in for no reason... I don't get it...

Plus - Pythagoras theorum only works for right angled triangles.

Yes, there's blur, but I don't see how it adds to the picture per se. I'm not quite sure of what you were after - perhaps naked math wizards? It's definitely different, though!

I don't see how a naked woman in a classroom has anything to do with a blurry mess (except a little hand blur), but it made me click on the thumbnail :)

More equations on the board would have given even more of a sense of chaos.

negative points for lack of blur, positive points for nude, positive points for (assumed) nude math teacher...
