 My first day with my new SB-600 and homemade foamboard lightbox. Being my first day with a flash thats actually useful, i simply played around for hours and hours, trying to learn. This was one of the test shots, and seemed to fit for this challenge.

Processing:

Convert to Grayscale (not much different, mainly to get rid of some blue and goldish colored reflections)
Slightly cropped
Adjusted Curves
Save for web

nice use of blur and a nice shot (might have benefitted from either being totally dead centre or more offset than it already is - the focal point taht is...). However my concern is that it is way to geometric to adhere to the "mess" part of the challenge.

Blurry, and a little chaotic. Not terribly intersting -- maybe needs more contrast.

shiny, yes, oof, yes, blurry...no. Would be if you spun the glass or camra while shooting.

Thanks, your title made me spit pop on my key board!

Nice DOF/Blur. I think I'd tilt it and/or crop it different to give it a less uniform/ more chaotic/disorganized feel.
