I'm just amazed at how the sculptor got in all that wrinkly-skin detail. ;) Nice idea for this challenge, but a bit of a sad photo - like in looking at it, we betray him. |

It's almost like a statue in it's purity and the way you have him captured. Very nice and sort of sad at the same time. |

AKA - Rodins 'The Simian'
I tell you if he had ever sculpted an ape - I'm sure this is how he would have posed it . .

Ahhh well thats the way it goes isnt it....The shots we love can bomb and the ones for which we have no expectations end up finishing 23rd with a 6+
Very nice study and a great B&W conversion. Outstanding detail on the body which creates a great textured feel to the shot
Nice one |

Have I ever told you how much I hate primates of any kind? Well, I do. But this is a great photograph, wonderful emotion captured, great composition, and very nice processing. Congratulations on another outstanding image. |

I couldn't tell if this was a real chimp or a sculpture. I'm guessing real as there seem to be tufts of hair around the knee that would be really hard to carve. The fact that I couldn't tell, was my discomfort. The editing might have gone too far to bring me to this point. |

You are a sculptor, and you have created something truly memorable, something that escaped the confines of what it normally means to be a "photograph."
