 I favor the expressive over the documentary style in photography. In this composition I tried to use camera movement in a way that would create a feeling of life & spirit out of the light reflecting off a silver fork. Nothing is in focus in the traditional sense, the details of the design on the fork can't be seen, but the light reflecting off the tines of the fork is sharp & clear. The light reflecting off the bottom end of the tines is soft & muted with small light trails created by one small bright reflection in that area. The fork handle is the most muted & blurred, in the lower L corner.

I set up a small flat-black stage in a darkened room & positioned the fork so that the light of a nearby television hit the end of the tines. The camera was positioned so that it's focal plane was parallel to the tines, where I wanted the most sharpness.

It's my hope that at first glance the viewer's mind will be stimulated by the composition to recall something personal (& hopefully pleasant) from memory,like looking at the clouds & seeing dragons, or sheep. Or, the viewer may see nothing at all of interest here. I fully expect the voters to give me lots of 'WTF?' votes in this "blurry mess" challenge because there is no focal point, & no documentary qualities either. That in no way diminishes the fun I have doing this!

Heh! More silverware! Nice use of the pesky reflections one gets when trying to shoot the stuff. Maybe a bit plain but nice squigglies of light here and there.
