 I'm not even sure what this factory does :P. I've always found the clouds rising from the stacks to be disconcerting. I think it's a water processing plant or something.

No high hopes for this image. I skipped the last few challenges and just thought I'd throw something in.

Great subject. The monochrome really works. The foreground doesn't help this otherwise great pic.

You could have done with a darker sky to make the smoke stand out, otherwise a good picture.

I like to see pollution in its natural colours. It's a lot more disgusting that way. Your image shows us pollution very well but the tone is not helping to bring it out. Harsh ugly smoke looks more unappealing against a beautiful blue sky, it impacts the viewer more. jmo

This photograph is very monotone. There is a lot of negative space that throws it off balance.

I like the composition and the image itself suits the challenge but I don't like the B/W conversion just a bit dull for my liking.
