In response to kronodil, the image is actually of a fly resting on a pink flower. I decided to flip the image over so that it was actually upside down. Made the image a bit more difficult to tell what it actually was. I was very surprised at the score. I have been sweating all week, figuring that with the uncomplimentary comments it would be lucky to hit even 10%. So its placement was way better than I expected. Thanks to all who saw the neat things I saw with this shot.

Very colorful and appealing - I'd be interested to know what this actually is.

I am guessing flowers? Zoom blur is always fun, and you got a great image from it. Good job.

The colors here are great, and I like the textures you achieved with the blurring.

I like this one :)
Howwweverrrr....(don't you hate hearing qualifiers like that?)... I just caught myself tipping my head, for the third time, to see it rotated 90CCW. I guess that's the way my mind likes it best, for some reason!
(gave it an 8, btw)

cool effect though I can't see what's meant to be melting.

strange colors but a fun shot

A patent abstract, in a wide open challenge that would have allowed for more creative license. There's alot of these here, and they aren't as engaging or interesting as those that explored the challenge criteria deeper.

It's fascinating though.

A fly in a flower? The motion and color is pretty good but the overall effect is a bit sickly looking in a way - not sure that's the best way to describe it, though.
