Date: Mar 21, 2004
Aperture: F/5.6
ISO: 100

Purposely cropped with negative space at the top for the title. Cropped at 480px x 640px, no resizing. A little fuzzy but I'm going to take a chance on it. Converted from RAW to TIFF, levels, USM 125%, 1.5 px, threshold 1 px. Saved as JPG. Opened JPG and USMed again. For the Canucks here, no doubt you'll recognize that it's not on U.S. soil - note the Crappy Tire sign under the wing on the right. :)

Greetings from the Critique Club...

Hi Orussell...

This image has suffered a bit in quality, maybe from the 100% crop. I'm not sure.

These planes are massive and that offers some amount of interest in this photo. I can't really offer much critique on this one. Subjectively, the image is OK. There just isn't much about it that really grabs my attention.

At first glance, that looks like 445th AW? But most likely (if in Canada) 446th, out of McChord AFB in Tacoma...I'm just curious, since I'm in the 445th and we both fly C-141s.

Great shot of an awesome subject. I think I would have preferred had you captured a more symmetrical version and been able to get a bit closer or zoom in a bit more to block out some of the background. Also, the planes tail seems awkward. Still a good shot.

I could see this on the cover of an Air Force magazine. There's room for text without running through too much of the picture. Nice job.

A different crop would help this photo. Either zoomed out so that the two inboard engines were visible. Or maybe zoomed in with the lower right corner where it is and the upper left corner about at the refueling recepticle, which would put more emphasis on the crewman.
