Side Note: I chose ART ROLFMAO (even though I can't spell very well...Sorry, ART ROFLMAO) because he has a great user name, and he appears to have such a great sense of humor that I didn't think that he would mind.

(I'm certainly not even close to being serious about the DPC Member Poll that I painted. He is a great addition to DPC, and one of the few that consistently keeps my laughing, and thereby keeps me going at DPC. Besides, there are enough people here who disagree with the things that I stand for...that the user name in the painting could be easily replaced with "777STAN.")

This entry is for those, like me who need a catharsis/a laugh/a guffaw at the silliness of those who take themselves way to seriously here!

(I am quite certain that some, if not most, could say the same about me. Dad used to say, "Son, be careful where you point your finger! When you point one at somebody else, you have three pointing back at yourself!")

At any rate, I did try this time to meet the requirements of the challenge while trying to create a little humor along the way!

What could be a harsher environment than a painter being sprayed with a water hose because someone (or some group of people) took a disliking to the art that he or she had in his or her heart!? :)

After Challenge: As to the concern about lighting, if it seems a little "washed-out", then could it be that I was going for that effect since I had a garden hose spraying on the photo?

Set-Up: I used the 12-sec. timer on the Pentax K10D mounted on my best Bogen tripod. Then, I pulled up my city-owned roadside trashcan to hold the garden hose rigged up with bungee straps, etc. and the handle blocked into the "on" position. Since I was getting wet and it was still a little cool, even though it was sunny, I took eleven shots, packed it in, and hoped that I had gotten something that would make my point!

I'm pleased! Even though I didn't get my brownie this week, I believe that I made my point quite well.

Thank You to everyone who got a laugh off this photo! At times making people laugh makes me feel as good (if not better) than a good score. :)

Sounds like a German/Chinese name. Any relation to Art Roflmao? Maybe that would make for a harsh forum, but otherwise I don't see a hard environment. I do see harsh lighting, so maybe that's it. The spray may be part of the harshness, but I don't see a reaction. I'm just trying to figure this one out.

abstaining on this one, but i will say that the backlighting from the sun is horrendous and you blocked the word "stay"... was that subconscious?
